English Corner:Experience Sharing
By Jessica Fan
On the evening of March 13th, the first English corner of this semester was held in the library lobby. Darren Mullins, David W. Koenig, Martin Maginn, Winston Shumaker and Brad Quinn participated in the English Corner on time. Many students came to join the discussion. Foreign teachers voluntarily scattered to five different places and organized discussions on various topics so as to encourage more students to get involved.
Darren talked about his years of teaching experience in Japan and Korea, and compared the differences in food, customs and people’s social ideas in China, Japan and Korea. David and Winston talked about the past Spring Festival. Martin shared his trip to Israel during the past winter vacation, and showed the students a lot of photos, which made them truly feel the exoticism. Brad discussed Chinese specialties with students from different provinces. After the discussion, he said he expected to try them all when he gets the chance.
The two-hour discussion ended up with laughter. English corner is such a place where you can gain knowledge and get happiness. Look forward to the next week!
