On January 9th, Dr. Brian Stiegler, Director of Center for International Education, Salisbury University, and Dr. Sam Song, Director of English Language Institute, Salisbury University visited the School of Foreign Languages. Professor Tao Wenhao, Dean of SFL, Associate Professor Xie Qingli, Vice dean of SFL and Ms. Gao Yuan, Director of Administration Office of SFL greeted the guests and had a meeting in Liyun B202.
In the meeting, Professor Tao welcomed Dr. Brian Stiegler and Dr. Sam song and briefly introduced the School of Foreign Languages. Then they discussed the 2+2 BA program, 2+3 BA-MA program, MA-TESOL, Summer Intensive Study Abroad Program (ISAP), Language Experience in America Program (LEAP) and staff exchange. ISAP and LEAP is expected to be carried out this summer and next academic year. Dr. Brian Stiegler also suggested a possibility that Salisbury could send teaching staff to SFL in March or April to join in the thesis defense of graduates in 2014.
After the meeting, both SU and SFL expressed that the meeting is fruitful and has made a good foundation of further and steady cooperation.
