At 7:00 P.M. on June 2nd, Mr. Tim Musgrave from the Faculty of Foreign Languages held the last Movies Nights of this semester in Liyun Building Room A101.
The movie showed was ‘Donnie Darko’. It was a thrilling science fiction movie which brought shock and contemplation for students. It’s one of the top 250 movies in IMDB. At the beginning, Donnie, who was suspicious of being a mad boy, went out at midnight because he felt someone called him to do that. Fortunately, the imagination served his life, when he came back home the next day and found the engine of an unknown airplane crashed his bedroom last night. However, after his 28 days’ struggling with fate and fear, everything turned back to the first day when the accident happened, and Donnie was dead at that night. After this movie, Mr. Tim Musgrave discussed the amazing ending and confusing logic with students. Even though different people held different opinions, it was a worthwhile night which let us think about time travel and universe.
Mr. Tim Musgrave said he wanted to lead students to use their passion about movies to learn more about the American and British culture and life.
