Hit of Postgraduate Enrollment from Graduates of 2018 of School of Foreign Languages
The number of graduates of 2018 from School of Foreign Languages who have applied for further studies, overseas or domestic postgraduate degree, has achieved a remarkable result by June11, 2018, among which, 46 chose to pursue postgraduate studies abroad, 7 in the mainland. What deserves to be mentioned most is that the number of admitted students amounts to 20.4% among all the English major graduates of 2018.
Among the 46 students who successfully applied for further studies abroad, 23 students were admitted to some well-known universities in the UK, such as University College London, University of Durham, Cardiff University etc; 9 students will study in the University of Hong Kong and University of Macau etc; 4 students will be in Australian universities including University of Sydney and University of Queensland etc.. 7 students who have been admitted by domestic universities cover such elite ones as Sun Yet-san University, Beijing Normal University, Sichuan International Studies University, and Shenzhen University etc.
In 2018, the rate of graduates who have applied successfully for overseas or domestic postgraduate degree reaches a record high. Those students’ outstanding achievement expands the channels of employment for undergraduates and enhances their employability. Meanwhile, they have further encouraged the perseverance and persistence of the campus students of the School of Foreign Languages.
