Dr Cullan Joyce is an Australian academic who trained in Philosophy (The History of Ideas) at the University of Tasmania under Prof’s Wayne Hudson, Jeff Malpas and Dr (Habil) Marcelo Stamm. The topic of his dissertation examined an important thinker in Ancient Greek Philosophy called Maximus the Confessor. This work required the deep examination and explanation of the structures of thought and creativity which underpin Western intellectual culture. He taught philosophy at the Australian Catholic University and the University of Tasmania and has presented papers at International Conferences in Australia and the US. He is currently an editor for the US based print and Electronic Journal “Philosophy Study” and has taught English in China for almost 6 months. He enjoys walking, thinking, writing, teaching, and talking. He has enjoyed exploring China immensely and has a deep love and appreciation for Chinese culture and place. He is teaching Lexicology, Advanced English, and College English at BNUZ.
