Mr. Greg Smart
My name is Greg Smart. I come originally from Toronto, Canada, but have spent the past few years living and working in China. The first year in China I taught oral and business English at a private college in Yangshua, Guanxi province. The students were largely young professional people. The next year I worked at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University in Huhhot, teaching undergraduate oral English and graduate writing courses.
My education is in English literature, in which I hold BA and MA degrees from York University in Toronto, Canada. Twentieth century Irish literature was the primary focus of my studies.
Having begun university as a relative geriatric, I passed my younger years working and travelling. The former comprises an unlikely, mostly forgettable spectrum of cooking, office work, and intermittent intrusions into musicianship. But, with respect to the latter, I have been especially fortunate in having had regular opportunity for travel. This I have done primarily in Europe and the British Isles.
