At 7 p.m. on December 19th, Mr. Hiromasa Meguro from the School of Foreign Languages held a lecture titled “The characters of Youngsters in Japan” in Lize A106. Mr. Seiya Zhen, Vice Director of Japanese department also attended the lecture.
First, Mr. Hiromasa Meguro introduced the history of Japanese, a language which was invented from Chinese. Then he told us the relations between Japanese and Chinese. Finally, he used some pictures to illustrate the popular characters in Japan, such as circle character, digital character and so on. Moreover, he played an interesting game with the students to let them have a better understanding of the characters of youngsters in Japan.
After the lecture, the students not only learned the characters of youngsters in Japan, but also had a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
