English Corner – Our Campus
By ZENG Jingqi
On November 27th, the English Corner was held in the library. The overseas teachers who attended the activity were Mr. Sean McHugh, Mr. Christopher Dockstader and Mr. Martin Stannard. The topic this week was “Our Campus”.
Mr. Sean McHugh shared some photos with the students, which he took in his spare time. First of all, by showing a picture of the University Name Rocks, he asked the students why rocks were commonly seen on campus as part of the gardening. The students explained that rocks had been used in gardening design since ancient times in China. Then, he discussed with the students about delicious food on campus. Many students shared their ideas about the favourite food with each other.
At the end of the English Corner, both the overseas teachers and the students recommended their favourite spots to visit on campus.
