The English Corner this week was held on December 11th in the Library at 6 p.m. The English Corner on every Wednesday night is really an enjoyable time for both foreign teachers and students. Dr. Richard Stopford, Mr. Christopher Dockstader, Mr. Martin Stannard, Mr. Charles Harrison and Mr. Brian Anderson attended the English Corner.
The topic this week was How to Keep Fit. Mr. Christopher Dockstader emphasized that both inside and outside factors were important. When he was a student in high school, triathlon was his favorite sport. It is composed of swimming, cycling and long-distance running. Every athlete has to finish all the projects at once. Therefore, triathlon has a restrict requirement on athletes. One student said she liked jazz because it could help her to keep fit. Besides, Mr. Brian Anderson introduced that western people paid a lot of attention to nutritious food. And then, he shared his peanuts with the students. Mr. Charles Harrison was fond of doing outdoor activities and he feet pity that he couldn’t participate in the Marathon held in Zhuhai.
Since winter has come, the foreign teachers recommended that it was important to keep the balance between studying and exercising.
