English Corner, the popular activity, is held in the library at 6:00 p.m. every Wednesday, which always attracts tons of students. In order to make the topic closer to students'' college life, the overseas teachers discussed the US and Britain movies and TV series with them. Tonight the teachers present include Mr. Charlie Reis, Mr. Gerard Brent, Dr. Phillip Stevenson, Dr. Matthew Conduct, Mr. Martin Stannard, Ms. Linda J. Visner, Mr. Christopher Dockstader and Dr. Maria Sofia Pimentel Biscaia.
Being asked about the favorite TV series, Mr. Reis was so happy to mention an American TV seriesThe Walking Dead, which always made himself as desperate as the roles in it. Dr. Stevenson described a TV series about Ancient Rome, Spartacus, and he said regardless of the performance the plots are very attractive. All the students were listening to him carefully. Mr. Brent recommended Matrix to the students and he also hoped the students could learn from the film. Dr. Conduct said that his favorite director was Alfred Hitchcock. As for how to improve English, the overseas teachers suggested watching as many foreign movies as they can, which is an efficient way not only to relax themselves but also to enhance their English skills.
It’s a wonderful night when everyone had a great time .
