Chad hails from a small town (only 5000 people!) in the state of Wisconsin, U.S.A. He developed a love for reading at a young age, and tales of adventure and foreign lands planted a seed in his heart to see the world. He loves travelling and living abroad and thinks learning about different cultures firsthand is one of the best things in life.

He graduated with an honors B.A. in English, with a specialty in writing, from the University of South Carolina. He has been teaching abroad for more than 7 years and has taught every age level from beginners to adult students. Teaching is his passion, and he can’t imagine another job he would rather do.

His hobbies include reading, writing, watching movies, cooking, and travelling. Every holiday he is eager to go somewhere new and experience something unique. A bit of a wanderer by nature, Chad has traveled to more than 30 countries, but is now eager to explore the length and breadth of China in the coming years. He is honored to be here in China, and his two favorite days of the year are the first days of each semester when he meets his new students!
