The English Corner this week was held on 16th of October in the library. Although it was drizzling with a faint chill, many overseas teachers attended the activity. They were Mr. Charlie Reis, Mr. Sean McHugh, Mr. Wataru Sato, Mr. Tim Musgrave, Mr. Christopher Dockstader, Mr. Sam Wilson, Dr. Richard Stopford and Dr. Phillip Stevenson.
There was joy and passion in the air when the overseas teachers and the students shared their opinion about today’s topic, College Life.
Speaking of college life, Mr. Tim Musgrave couldn’t help reminiscing his youth, a time of freedom and passion. And Mr. Christopher Dockstader encouraged the students to “be yourself” bravely. Moreover, Mr. Charlie Reis suggested that students pursue what they truly want so as to make their life less regretful. In term of study, Dr. Richard Stopford said, “study is just like a pair of wings which can help you to be what you wanna be”, emphasizing the importance of study in college life. In order to make a progress quickly, Dr. Phillip Stevenson pointed out that students should learn to express themselves more, and be fearless of asking questions or making mistakes.
The teachers’ experiences and sharings of their college life not only brought about fun and happiness, but also exposed the students to reflection and inspiration.
