The English Corner was held in the Library at 6 p.m. on Nov.6th. The overseas teachers present at the English Corner were Mr. Ian McHugh and Mr. Christopher Dockstader.
Mr. Christopher Dockstader brought some magazines from the United States, such as News Weekly and Times. Mr. Christopher Dockstader discussed some news and celebrities in the magazines with the students. And then, he shared his opinions upon fashion with the students. Students were attracted by interesting stories and amazing western culture.
Mr. Ian McHugh demonstrated British culture to the students by showing pictures. First, he introduced hobbies of British people. He told the students that British were fond of doing all kinds of sports. When it came to British food, he said, British breakfast was mainly composed of fried eggs, sausage and beans. Many students asked questions and Mr. Ian McHugh answered them with great patience.
